Tavi Art is really excited to launch the FOUND project!

The FOUND project explores the meaning of things that can be ‘found’ in and around the Tavistock Centre and will result in a collaborative mixed media quilt of ‘found things’.

We want you to join us and come along to a workshop to make a part of the patchwork.

Each session will explore stitch, drawing, collage and found materials in a creative and innovative way and are open to people of all abilities.
Sessions are small, friendly and informal, and refreshments will be provided.

Artist in residence

Rachael Causer is the artist in residence at the Tavistock Centre. Her work explores what is often overlooked – the detritus that is scattered and swept along in a large city such as London. She collects objects found on pavements and in empty supermarket trolleys – lists, dropped baby shoes, lost gloves and post-it notes. She creates curious taxonomies of objects and is fascinated by piecing together stories and cataloguing the evidence of what we discard.
